Free Left Right Christmas Game (Printable)

A read-aloud story where the gift gets passed LEFT or RIGHT every time you hear the word. Print it, grab a wrapped gift, and play in about five minutes.

A side project from the owner of this site: a free holiday printable, not part of our regular data guides. Take it, print it, enjoy it.

Left Right Christmas Game printable: two read-aloud stories where players pass the gift left or right

How to play

Sit in a circle and hand one person a wrapped gift (a gift card, ornament, candy cane or mug works too). Choose one reader to read the story out loud. Every time the reader says LEFT or RIGHT, everyone passes the gift that way.

When the story ends, whoever is holding the gift keeps it. The printable has two original stories, “The Great Cocoa Caper” and “Santa’s Sleigh Check,” with LEFT and RIGHT in bold, color-coded type so the reader never misses a cue. It works best for 6 to 30 players, ages 6 and up.

Print at 100% (actual size) on plain paper, and print a second copy so the host can read while the game goes on.
